Pie Dough 2 1/2 c all purpose flour 1/2 c chilled shortening 8 T butter cut in 1/4 slices 6-8 T ice water Combine flour and shortning in food processor 10- 15 seconds. Add butter and pulse 1 second, 10 times. Add ice water in a stream while minimally pulsing to mix. Run the processor until at least half of the dough begins to move as a mass, 1 - 4 second. Turn out into a bowl and press together with a spatula. Divide dough into 2 balls and flatten into 4 inch disks. Wrap each in plastic and refidgerate 1 hour to 2 days.
